This is the common scene in our backyard; A~boy out digging in the dirt~ just hoping he might come across a dinosaur bone. You never know... they did find a Willie Mammoth not too far from us~ he just has to dig really deep:)
Knowing A~boy's future aspirations, Uncle Jimmy (our expert fossil finder) took Daddy and A~boy on a real fossil hunt!!!
A~boy was so excited that morning. Before I could tell him to get dressed, he was already in his dinosaur shirt and his special exploration pants he picked out just for this greatly anticipated expedition:) Of course his attire wasn't complete without his exploration vest, dino rain boots and his exploration leather tool bag Daddy made just for him.
They didn't find any dino bones, but found plenty of fossilized plants and shells from way back when!?!
They discovered bags and bags of fossils...
So much was unearthed~ What a treasured day! (Yes, I know I'm so cheesy!)
Uncle Jimmy, thank you for taking time out this weekend to share such an awesome experience with A~boy!!! How much he is (we all are) learning from you. We can't wait to go again~ next time Mommy and K~girl will be tagging along, especially after seeing that little waterfall... Sweet tranquility:)
